Yeah something else is at work here.
The sodium shouldn't make you weak. It may help your body retain water to help prevent dehydration to a very limited degree if at all, and then only until your body regains balance.
Extra sodium's never a good idea but if you're healthy it won't hurt, at least it shouldn't make you weak. Make sure everything else is in line, diet, overtraining, age, etc. Any other unrelated health problems that may contribute to the fatique?? May be time for a check-up..
