Personally, i disagree with the high reps that the program you found incorporates. The calves are a skeletal muscle just like any other one you train. What other muscle group do you train with 20-40 rep sets? With the exception of a widowmaker, 20 reps is pushing it for me, but it works due to the pause with the deep stretch between reps in DC methods.
