First, I strongly recommend bringing squats and deads into your routine to bring your body into balance (upper/lower). Second, the more muscle on your frame the more total calories your body will burn in a day so yes absolutely weight train. I recommend either adding or carefully increasing your cardio level to help burn fat off, but you need to make sure your diet is in check as this is the biggest factor in successful fat loss.
