When I do shoulders my left shoulder sometimes pops, so... that means I stop doing that exercise immediately. For instance on shoulder days my left shoulder usually always is more sore, so I have to be very careful with it. I still keep my shoulder workouts intense and heavy, but you definitely don't won't that pop, because if your shoulder gets f@#$ed so does most of the rest of your workouts. By now I have learned what exercises I can do. I too should probably start at a lower weight for my first exercise, (usually standing press), but you get so excited and pumped. But, again I like you HAVE TO AVOID the pop in the shoulder, IMO its ok to be a little extra sore, and I expect it because its been like this since I was like 16, now 23. Also my sorness goes away with the rest of my shoulder soreness, from lifting, like chest, bi, tri, and so on. Take heed to it though and don't over stress it. Last thing, like me if it hurts and you know that it isn't just from being pumped stop the workout immediatly. The shoulder is a precious thing bro.
