Yeah, I know.

But if you look at something you said about answering CEE questions as an example. No matter what, a question like that is never going to be finished answering for quite a long time. Heck, I'm discussing it right now in another thread. It may be answered in YOUR mind but for others it may be a topic that is still very much open for discussion. And in that sense it ain't a newbie question. Hell the more I read about stuff like that the less I know. And this comes down to some of the points I made at the beginning. Our answers to "begninning" questions are sometimes only the be all and end all in OUR minds.

And there is NOTHING I dislike more than the "veteran" who snubs his nose at other people discussing the things he thinks are beyond discussing.

The stickies, articles, our own beliefs and opinions, they are a snapshot. One of the biggest tests to how open someone is is if they are willing to rethink even those things they hold to be fundamental. I'm not saying anything will come of that or that we will necessarily need to change but NOTHING is beyond discussion and just because you and I think a question is closed doesn't mean many members don't think it's very much open. And I swear to this day things I thought I knew about basics are challenged by just those kinds of discussions.

My point is that these "beginning" questions really from the foundation for what we do. And if they can still stand to be discussed, thus meaning our foundation may not be as sturdy as we like to think, then the beginer question is pretty valuable no matter how hard it is to answer the same questions over and over.

I would like to see people encouraged to do searches and such before they ask a specific question though!

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.
