Yeah if it hurts you that bad try taking a week off. Usually if I have an injury that bad, after some time off it's all better. Another thing to do is get some weightlifting gloves so that area gets padded. If you don't want to spend the money, use two sponges. It'll pad the area and still give you more freedom to move.
