That's how I do it. I take about 5g pre/post for a week (if I've been off it for a bit) and then take about 3g pre/post for maintenance. Its hard to measure 3-5 grams of creatine so I just eyeball the amount in the spoon. For me 1 serving is roughly 5 grams. Haven't had any problems with it so far
