I'd have to disagree with comparing BMI to injuries, hrdgain. Not all of this can be lumped together. Somebody comparing your joints to "average joints" no matter how misguided it may be is nowhere near the same. Kane complained that his shoulders shouldn't be compared to average people. Which is simply misguided thinking. His shoulders and my shoulders are subject to the same physics as a guy stting at a desk all day. Every thing I said was to address that particular issue. You can't just go around thinking "I'm not average" and expect your joints to automatically live up to that train of thought. You likewise can expect to be able to display full strength at all times. It's just the way of it and it must be faced and dealt with. Otherwise problems insue.

BMI is one thing. Strength imbalances and injured joints are another.

What I simply got out of the original post was Kane wanting to think his shoulder were super shoulders compared to the "average shoulder". Obviously that isn't true or he wouldn't be having conversations with therapists. You guys can backpedal and make it some general complaint but no matter how you slice it, to me it's an unrealistic generalization. There are realities that must be faced.

I am seeing a TON of injuries on this forum and quite frankly I don't think some of you guys understand how this stuff will come back to haunt you in a BIG way if you don't take it seriously. I don't want to sound big brotherish again, LOL but there it is. I don't want to see anybody end up with a body as screwed up as mine where everytime you hit the gym you spend as much time trying to keep the joints from going south as you do working out.

I think you are over-generalizing. And I can assure you that NOBODY always has a perfect day in the gym no matter what kind of shape you are in.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.
