Ya man, off season is the best time for growth. Realisticly if your taking in more food and gaining weight, then you should be able to lift more weight. So go heavy!!!

Once you start dieting down, your strenght may decrease as your calories and food consumtion comes down. It depends on the type of diet you do as well.
