Helpfull hint:

Look for marked down meats and throw them in the freezer immediately or cook promptly, to avoid potential for spoilage. These are meats that are getting close to going out of date, so they will have to be reduced for quick sale. Sometimes you will find great bargains this way.

You should cook the meat promptly after thawing. Again this is is so you can avoid spoilage.

Use your good judgement when choosing your meats and be aware of the color and look of the meat. Talk to a knowlegeable meat department employee, if you don't know what you are looking for.

A friend of mine said you can find more deals like this if you shop early in the morning.

Invest in a large freezer to store your bargain food items. I stock up on turkeys during the holiday seasons, because they are so cheap during this time.
