Now, what does all of the above prove to an average gamer, or someone who plays once in a while? Nothing. How's about a gamer who doesn't care for sports games or first person shooter games? Nothing. Average gamers don't notice the discrepancies of the graphics between the two systems. I'll also point out that all the highest rated games for the 360 are shooter games, and are exclusive to only Microsoft. So if someone doesn't like shooters, than it doesn't matter.

That said, for those of us who spend a lot more than a few hours a week playing, and/or enjoy going online, then the discrepancies in graphics, game selection, and online compatability are glaring to say the least. If anyone really wants to see a difference, by all means head to your local walmart or target LOL and see for yourself.

No matter what you are, it's hard for me to see a "casual gamer" who doesn't spend a lot of time playing buying either systems since it's expensive! So taking that into account, while both systems are fun either way, you gotta side with overall selection if anything else.. But that's just me, and as I've said, if a gamer already has a lot of games from the old consoles (ps2 vs. xbox), then it would make more sense to adopt the newest version of your old console... Then again, most people (like myself) happen to have more than one tv in the house, so backwards compatability is not an issue LMAO!
