I'm overweight so I'm trying to diet and put on muscle at the same time. I shoot for 1800 calories a day but I usually wind up around 2000.

I hear a lot of people say you really can't diet and put on muscle at the same time but I need to lose weight so that's what I'm trying to do. I've lost a lot of weight so far and still managed to make progress with the weights.
