Yeah. You doctor shouldn't be giving you advice in what to do in the weight room unless he is an expert on such matters. That joint where the clavicle and the scapula meet is AC joint. If it is actually narrowing or whatever is going wrong with it, you can't just get a shot and go back eventually to doing the same thing and not expect the pain to come back. If you are getting pain in a joint then you have to change some things you are doing. Maybe take some things out permanently. Etc...

To say that stuff is common in people who lift weights is true. But it would be more accurate to say it's common in people who lift weights wrong. And that includes technique, prohibiting certain movements, and creating balanced routines including certain supportive things that most don't do.

I can almost assure you that dips are a big part of the problem. Don't go deep on dips. Try not to have your hands behind your body but beside it. Don’t do them completely upright. Lean forward a bit at about a 45 degree angle.

Bench you maybe should take a break from and then make sure you are using proper setup and form.

This at least is a start. Good luck on it and hope it gets better.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.
