I've been doing OH squats for a bit. First of all I hate you since you already have most of the flexibility you need and all you need is the core control and balance. I'm still struggling with the flexibility. You need a lighter implement really in order to get the balance down. It's much easier that way. A wooden dowel of some kind.

The bar just has to stay straight overhead in a line with the scapula and heels/middle feet. I think you biggest problem is you just need to SLOW IT DOWN. Take a deep deep breath into your belly and tighten everything up and go down with control concentrating solely on the mechanics of it not on getting the rep. Even if you only do one good rep at a time before you need to rest that is better.

But this is one of the "new" things I was thinking about. Basically when I started doing them, even before I could do a good one I started around of PR's on military press, box squats, deads, etc...

Widdoes you should DEF give them a go. Really really good....and humbling.

Another thing I've been doing is overhead supports or what is otherwise know as "jerk supports".

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.
