I don't think its the fact that your muscle endurance is decreasing. Its probably due to working out the muscles that you need to use to play. Your muscles are already fatigued and trying to heal up and then you go pushing them to the limit with hockey.

I'm not sure if higher volume would help or not in this case. You may need to just pick which is more important to you. If hockey performance is really important to you then maybe avoid working out like 24hrs before a game.

Thats my oppinion. Others will have more to say I'm sure. I dont' have direct experience with this. Although, I know running after working out is *way way* harder. So its probably similar to that.
