I do think, btw, that it is more than just your muscles lack of recovery although that's probably a big part of it. It's just that all that 3x5 strength work thrice a week is pushing muscular adapations that are a good bit different than the adaptations you need for endurance. But of course you also need speed and acceleration...good stuff like that.
