Default What I don't understand about NO products

The claim of NO products is that they dilate the blood vessels so more blood can get to the muscles and, thus, replenish them to a greater degree and quicker than without.

Here is what I don't understand: with my limited understanding of the body, I assume we have a finite supply of blood that is always in use. That is, there is no "reserve tank" where blood is stored until we need it.

So, if the NO products are opening the vessels, why don't ALL the vessels dilate? How does the body know which ones to do that to?

And, to me, the all-important question: If my arms and chest are all pumped with all this more-than-usual blood, where is it coming from? Are other body parts being short-changed of their supply of blood?

And when the blood leaves the area and gets back to the normal-width vessels, doesn't it back up? And if it didn't back up, I could envision a rapid increase in blood pressure to accommodate all the extra blood returning to its roots.
