Good stuff Eric. A lot of people end up misunderstanding intensity. Personally, for the major lifts I train with very intensity generally hitting 90% or above of the 1RM for 2-3 reps (I prefer to stay away from the single). Over time the resistance has changed (heavier weight) but the intensity stays high. High volume work definitely has its place but I do not train that way very often.
