I am trying this as I speak (well, type), and I can feel it!! Good sug., Monsta! Also, I'm not sure, but it may help to stretch them immediately after running. Also, I'd try running on a treadmill-it absorbs a lot of the impact imparted on your legs, helping to avoid splints all together. Or, you could try doing exercises that work the tibialis anterior- the muscle on the front of the leg. I hope it helps.
