Charles Stahley is definitely not an idiot. He's a pretty well know and respected strength and condition coach. I think he goes off the deep in with the constant "more work in less time" mantra but...

You have to consider the box someone is coming from. Not all of someones ideas may be valuable to you but that doesn't mean you should discount them.

I agree that the dumbell bench press example was not a very good one. There are more reasons to use a spotter than forced reps. Such as with barbell bench having a spotter hand the bar to you can greatly improve you set-up. It makes it easier to remain tight and such. But Stahley has a certain background that he is coming from.

Sprinting is not an aerobic exercise. That doesn't mean you can't dip into the aerobic end of things but, no, it's mostly anaerobic. It all has to do with intensity and the length of time you can sustain that.
