NEVER do Roman chair...just as an fyi. Very bad....herniated disc waiting to happen. It's how I got my bad back. Repeated flexion and extension of the lumbar spine under low magnitude load is a no-no. There is no good reason to do this movement. Also ends up pulling in the abdominal muscles and causing an imbalance there. That can fuck up the shoulders as well...it goes on. Don't do it.

For the extensions if you can't adjust the pads properly I wouldn't bother.
