Yeah, OCD is right.

I'm a member of the "used-to-be-super-skinny club. So that is enough reason for me to take carbs in and then still have room a little later for more real food. But I don't think for a second that not slamming down the postworkout shake is really the make me or break me that it has been made out to be.

Hell, let me put it another way. If I only had time for one more meal after a late workout...it wouldn't be high gi carbs and whey.
