Speed squats from box - 5X3 225
Superset
Leg press - 3X5 290
Leg curls - 3X5 120

Sled drag - 12X40ft 200lbs

I'll explain the box squats. I was faster than normal. But not fast enough to be a "speed squat". Basically, when I go super heavy, I lose focus of how fast I'm going. It's psychologically easier to lift a light weight faster than a heavy weight. So I went with a weight that gave me the psychological advantage of being light, but that still let me do some somewhat heavier work. I also read something somewhere (maybe this forum?) written by someone saying that the act of trying to generate speed could be as effective as actually moving with speed. So in addition to actually doing speed squats, I'll have heavy speed squats as an option on DE days.

Leg press was superset with leg curls. I left the balls of my feet hanging off the platform and had the same stance I use when deadlifting for the leg press. Leg curls were good. I didn't run when I dragged the sled today. I took long deep steps, so it was somewhat reminiscent of a lunge. Good workout. No more squatting...shoulder kept subluxing & causing problems when I tried to drive up with a lot of force off of the box. Going to the infirmary tomorrow on campus if it's open.
