They're not really lying. It's half and half like table sugar. At least on average from what I've read.

HFCS can be up to to 55% fructose and 45% glucose. But not all of them has the same exact amount.

Table sugar (sucrose) is 50% fructose and 50% glucose but they are in the form of a dissacharide (linked together).

Nutritionally...there is not going to be much difference. Too much of either on is the same thing.
