Default looseing weight

hey everyone, i have a little problem, iv always been the strong guy in school and iv always been very proud of the fact, but my little brother has been hitting the gym a lot lately and hes catching up fast. i cant let him beat me, i need some advice on how to tighten my chest area, im 20 years old, 6 foot 4 and weight 270 pounds, iv been letting myself go since i graduated high school a year ago. my main focus is going to be the chest area iv always been a little embarrassed about my chest but now that iv gained weight its starting to look bad. iv started doing some bench presses at home but nothing really serious, my max bench right now is 310 pounds, or at least it was my senior year of high school, i doubt that has changed since i never really hit the weights. iv been doing 150 pounds with 4 reps of 10, my first day of doing so left my chest so tired i couldn't do it again for 2 days. would doing less weights a lot of times be better then doing a lot of weight a few times? thnx
