You stated that you were so sore that you couldnt work out your chest for the next two days? You shouldn't be working out your chest that often anyway. Higher frequency does not mean more muscle gain and working out your chest is not going to help you lose fat on your chest. There is no such thing as spot reduction. Your body decides where to burn the fat regardless of what exercise you are doing. This is similar to how doing ab crunches will not help your abs show.

If you have not lifted in a while then your muscles have surely atrophied quite a bit. This goes along with the use it or lose it principle. That is probably why you are so sore. You are going to have to build back up to where you used to be. The good news is that your muscle fascias are already stretched and it will be easier to get your gains back then it would if you are just starting out.

My advice is to search around this forum and the net and find a good workout routine. Stick to it and lift hard, eat clean. No junk food, soda, candy. No late night binging. Some cardio might even be helpful for you. Losing fat is easy, having the willpower and knowledge of how to do it is the hard part. good luck
