Have you read the suggestions of the other people who have posted in this thread?

See....when you come into a thread it is your duty to read what the people above you have said before you decide to type up a reply of your own.

Now, having said this, all your suggestions make sense, but (and if you had taken the time to read what everybody else has said you would know this) doing Splits is very lame for a beginner. Lame meaning: a non-efficient way to go about things.

So while everything you said makes sense (like hammies needing more work, legs being a large muscle group etc etc) it boils down to: Split vs. Full Body or Upper-Lower. And I believe that doing this Upper-Lower fashion are wonderful. Infact, for a beginner, doing a split is useless and highly inefficient.
