You can probably handle 50ish grams or so at one time, I would guess...maybe more. It depends on the person & the amount of digestive enzymes they produce. If you have healthy kidneys, then a high protein diet isn't bad. I've read about calcium deficient people purposefully being placed on a high protein diet before, I believe. I'll try to remember when/why that was.
