Yeah, the heel lift I just suggested as being permissible for the front squats. And even there you don't have to. But not for anything else. You're getting very good mobility and you are very stable so promote that. That is very good for your knees, as you know, in the long run. Now, I'm not saying that little bit of heel lift is such a big deal..I mean olympic lifters typically use shoes with much more lift that those little plates. And it's not like you see with some guys where they are practically squatting on their toes to "hit the quads"..because that IS bad for the knees.
