Where you're currently at, you can and quite frankly should be doing more free squatting. In my first year conjugate training, I increased my wide parallel squat almost 100 lbs from a max effort list of olympic, front, wide, and LOW box squatting (med stance). When you get a chance, look back at my old journal and what I did. Whatever the fuck it was, it worked!

Regarding depth on those vids, I think you're really close. It's a mental thing, not physical IMHO. If you focused on going a little deeper, it wouldn't have been too tough.
