Right...like an extreme example is Lance Armstrong running the marathon. Of course he is going to do VERY well compared to most people. But it seemed to come as a shock to him and others that it was MUCH more difficult for him to finish than expected. And it HURT like hell...

It's an extreme example because he is such a GREAT athlete but that makes it a great example when you consider that bike riding is much more similar to long distance running than martial arts is to running.
