Yeah, I agree with Dave..you have the startings already.
And I agree with him on the crossfit thing. I just had a long rant about that actually. But let me say that you can bridge it together in effective ways if you manage the stressors in an organized and not "random" way like crossfit does. Crossfit is just dong whatever the hell whenever hell on different days, lol I think enough people have pointed out that if you try do everything you will be good at none of them.
It's not like you can't lift and do, for instance, sled dragging on the same day...well I don't want to get specific because that's Dave's job, lol. And I think he was already getting into it.
