High intensity cardio (sprints --> HIIT --> High intensity interval training) lends itself much better to muscle growth when combined with weight training.

If your goals are to have a as much endurance as possible while being as big as possible... well thats a tough one. You'll notice distance runners are generally lightly built while sprinters are very heavy... at least in the legs.

What is more important to you? Endurance or size? That will help you determine where you draw the line in the sand between LISS (Low intensity steady state cardio) and HIIT.
