If you don't go to GNC, then...get some maltodextrin & dextrose or waxy maize starch. Get some whey protein also. Try searching at bulknutrition or nutraplanet. They typically have the best deals. Also, fractional (or full) servings of certain weight gainers make great pre and post workout shakes, so that's another option if you can find a good, affordable gainer.
