I think whey will help you put on some extra size if taken at the right time and your FOOD intake is high as is. It all comes down to cals in vs cals out and if whey is going to help a person get in more cals then it will help but on size.
No matter what you don't want to put on weight fast unless you don't care about being a fat bastard !
