It more than likely does for skinier atheletes because it's a heavy strain on the system. All out sprints main source of fuel comes from the fuel, in the form of glucose, that is the main form of fuel for working muscles during intense excercise. So when you do to much spint work during the course of the week, as a bodybuilder trying to maintain his muscle strength, and mass, it can effect it negatively, because your effectively depleteing glycogen(and fat), and your body starts to catabolize muscle tissue as a result.

Intense sprinting sessions are hard on the body, and most people are under the wrong impression of how much their bodies can take before they begin to become depleted. How much varies from person to person however.
