Yeah, I should have said that for a lot of people, one measurement is fine but not for all. The abdominal area above hip bone seems good for me.
I guess a good illustration of being careful about things that work for most people but not all is that my "normal" body temperature is 97.0+/-.5°F. Similarly 220-age is not a good measure for all for maximum heart rate.
I'll try 7 measurements for the next couple months while I am trying to lose fat and see what the results actually are.
