I'm going to do something very close to the Athlete Routine for the next weeks/months but insteed of training to failure (for fatigue), I'll only do 1 Heavy Single per exercise (Deadlift, Overhead Press, Curl). I'll train once a week and decrease frequency if I need more time to recover (if I start to lose strength or don't make gains).
I don't believe Mentzer's theory was perfect but I think he made good or at least interesting points, especially about the relations between Stimulation-Volume and Recovery-Frequency.
