I never lower the weight like that, i know its good to mix it up but from what i understand and what i do it goes more like this. Every 8 weeks i change my routine, so i will do 3 sets of six for an exercise and so on, keeping the weight heavy. Then after the 8 weeks il change it to 4sets of 10 for each exercise, because of the higher rep range the weight is reduced... Thats just my approach...
