I have the same problem mate and I train for soccer twice a week and play once-twice a week. I'm also a keen gym goer, generally 3-5 times a week depending what routine im doing. I've found that plenty of stretching, before and after any exercise is essential and that if they're sore after exercise, icing them and massaging the tendons minimizes the discomfort the next day. Yet in saying that, all those things only work for some people, have a search on the net, there's plenty of advice and different views on what you should do. I wouldn't suggest having to take an ibuprofen to squat though, it's only a band aid solution and won't be good in the long term
