Default Full upper body workout

When reading this forum, i see alot of people splitting their upperbody workout throughout the week, like:
Mon: chest/shoulders
tues: bi/tri

ect...

when i do upper body i do the whole she-bang, every muscle including my abs, then for lower body workout days i do back and legs

Is this wrong/any benifit to splitting upper like this??
