I read a pretty good article in Fitness Rx Nov. 2009, they listed some good sleep aids and recovery aids while you sleep: Arginine suppresses somatostatin, a hormone in the brain that halts GH secretion and other helpful advantages such as immunity healing and recovery, Gaba an amino acid thats considered to be a strong neurotransmitter it helps regulate sleep cycles and pituitary gland which is the gland that releases GH, the university of Milan reported that Gaba increased blood levels of GH by 5.5% after 90 minutes of intake. Glutamine is also an amino acid a powerful recovery agent that boosts immunity 2 grams of it can raise GH levels more than four times that of base level verses a placebo. It also preserves muscle mass and prevents muscle acidosis which increases muscle wasting and fatigue. The article also listed Melatonin and Tryptophan as good sleep aids and GH inhibitors I found all in powder or liquid form on discountanabolics.com except for Tryptophan the only thing I found with Tryptophan also had Salvia in it so I passed cause I want to sleep not hallucinate. also on a personal note my wife and I have had success with Valerian root extract it comes in liquid form there is also some teas that have it one is called Sleepy Time, a couple drops of that stuff and your out in no time.
