I know you're not bashing it..I have no issues with answering your question.

Firstly, I am not doing a Ground Up Strength program...there is no "program". I just train under the guidance of Eric. GUStrength is a treasure trove of information regarding all aspects of health and fitness - it's not a program.

Having said that, you are right: I should've specified what I meant when I said I don't count PRs. I do count them. I train to get strong so I would definitely count them. What I should've said is that I don't count PRs just on the basis of the weight that I lift. I factor in a LOT of other aspects as well:
- Load (we covered this)
- Work capacity
- Quality

So...yes, 455 was a PR...but if 3-4 weeks from now I manage to say...Deadlift 435x3x3 then to me thats a PR as well even though it places my 1RM theoretically more than 455. I am only concerned with what actually goes down.

455 was a PR. I just don't get caught up in PRs...and I didn't think much of it because in 2 weeks I am going to begin a mini-cycle of singles training and I expect to hit something slightly more than 455.

Nonetheless 455 is a PR and PRs are reason enough to stay motivated
