Personally I'll consume one shake post work out, though usually my protein intake is from steaks, chicken, and tuna. Invest in sardines, I'm dead serious. I hate the taste but they are PACKED with protein in correlation with the amount per serving. Just look out for sodium levels. Also using protein peanut butter in your shakes is good too. But yeah, post work out and the morning of is IMO the most opportune time to consume a shake. But don't neglect your wholefoods!
