Creatine monohydrate is very well researched so I'd highly recommend it. Yes, some of the initial weight changes seem to be caused by fluid getting in the muscles. But creatine does lots of things, like helping recovery, etc. You won't lose any muscle once you go off.

BTW--stick with creatine mono, not any of the "buffered" crap.
