As long as you are getting adequate calories and protein overall you'll be just fine. I think the supplement industry has tried to convince us that the body is a catabolic time bombs just waiting to eat away muscle. This simply isn't true.

Sumo wrestlers actually train without breakfast in order to work up a veracious appetite and gorge themselves after they train. They don't seem to have any trouble keeping mass. Granted, most of us don't want to look like sumo wrestlers, but I think you get my point.
