I don't care for the touch lightly. Personally, if it doesn't rest on the chest, it's not a real press. Not just refering to those who bounce it, but if it doesn't actually sit, then I didn't do it right. But that's me.

Also, if you want to get stronger, don't full extend your arms. You are taking all of the weight and pressure from your muscles to your elbows and joints. You must be able to lock it out, especially if you compete, but don't go that extra space when training. It is WAY more stressful to not fully extend for your muscles, if you are a consistant lifter, you will see a big difference.
