Definitely for any beginner or even advanced fitness enthusiast a multi-vitamin is key in any supplemental plan.

Vitamins, minerals, electrolytes and co-factors make up much of the important chemicals your body uses to power metabolism. And while your diet may be on track in terms of containing all the right proteins, carbs, and EFAs, you may not always be getting every single vitamin, mineral, electrolyte and co-factor you need for optimum health and performance.

you may not notice it in the gym, but overall your body needs good sources of those vitamins and minerals to fully optimize your training and dieting. Currently I'm taking Vitabolic from Nutrabolics and also supplementing ZMA at night.

I don't think I'll ever second guess MV's and it's unfortunate that so many gym goers underestimate or think they're useless!
