depends on what your cutting down for bro!(contest, beach, etc.) It also depends on how many carbs you're taking in during a day. I'm not so much against them as to they may not fit into my cut diet. But I remember points in my diet when the only carbs I had was 1 apple per day getting ready for a competition. So you just need to keep a note on how much carbs you're taking in and work around that. However, currently getting ready for the beach weather as well and still have my morning apple and banana during the day. Seem to be doing just fine.
