There is a point of diminishing returns. The more you take, the more side effects you'll have also. Yeah, you'll have slightly better results with 1000 vs 750, but is it worth the extra sides? If more was better, then guys would be going around using 5000mgs if they could afford it. I've heard of people going up to +2000mgs, but they are at risk of having a heart attack at any minute, they feel like shit, they can't sleep, they're putting their bodies through hell...

Do what you're comfortable with. If you're happy balancing the sides/results from 1000mg, then go for it. It's your body. If you're happy with the deca/test cycle you mentioned, then even better. Deca and test is a much better combination compared to just test at higher dosages if only for the "joint lubrication" and the other benefits Deca is known for. One thing is for sure though...competing pros and amateurs alike take much more that 1000mg, so the guy that told you that more than 750mg is a waste has no idea what he's talking about.
